Our go-to food in the summer (which is year-round in Hawaii). We have these several times a month!
- Johnsonville Bratwurst (you can use another brand, but these are best)
- 1 medium onions, sliced
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup mustard
Chop your onion up, doesn't need to be real fine. In a saucepan big enough to hold your brats, pour your beer into the pan. I start with 1 bottle. Add onion, ketchup and mustard and stir up. Add your brats. I then add more beer until they are covered. Bring to a slow boil.
You'll want to boil until cooked through. About 15-20 minutes.
The final step is to grill them until toasty brown!
Nutrition is just for the bratwurst, you'll need to add for a bun and whatever condiments you use!
